1.  India will formally take over the G-20 presidency today (01 Dec 2022) .  100 monuments to be illuminated with G-20 logo.


2. President Droupadi Murmu  gave away the National Sports and Adventure Awards 2022 at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 30 Nov.


3. Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open for public viewing from today for five days in a week.

1.  India and Australia have exchanged written notifications regarding the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement , ECTA. The ECTA will enter into force on 29th December.


2. Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL) announced that iNCOVACC (BBV154), has received approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) under Restricted Use in Emergency Situations for ages 18 and above, in India, for heterologous booster doses.


3. India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (Ind-Aus ECTA) will enter into force on December 29 paving the way for the elimination of duties on 100 per cent tariff lines and creating additional 10 lakh jobs in India.

As per a blessing by Vishnu to marry Vrinda in her next birth, Vishnu – in form of a stone Shaligram married Tulsi on Prabodhini Ekadashi. (Salagrama or Shaligram is a fossilized shell used in South Asia as an iconic symbol - Shaligrams are usually collected from river-beds or banks such as the Gandaki River in Nepal. 


 To commemorate this event, the ceremony of Tulsi Vivah is performed. The Tulsi wedding or Tulsi Vivah is significant as it symbolises the beginning of wedding season as per Hindu calendar.


 Another minor legend narrates that Lakshmi slew a demon on this day and remained on earth as the Tulsi plant.
