7. India's first privately designed and operated rocket launchpad was inaugurated at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota by S Somanath, Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It was designed by space technology startup Agnikul Cosmos and built in collaboration with ISRO. 

8. The Bihar Government is set to launch the Har Ghar Gangajal project to deliver water from Ganga river to the dry areas in the state that do not lie along the course of the river. 

9. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates scheme in Rajgir, Nalanda district, under which flood waters will be treated for supply to households in the southern part of the state. 

10. Allahabad High Court reserved its verdict on a petition challenging a Varanasi court order directing the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to survey the Gyanvapi Mosque complex. On April 8, 2021, a Varanasi court ordered a comprehensive survey.

11. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board has imposed a fine of ₹25 lakh on Vivo's manufacturing unit in Greater Noida for violating the rules of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage III.

1. Employees Provident Fund:  Great news is going to come by the end of this month for 7 crore subscribers of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization ie EPFO. The government is going to transfer the interest for the financial year 2022 to the account of EPF account holders.

2. India's milk production has registered a monumental growth in the last eight years as it has increased by 83 Million Tonnes. In 2013-14, the production was 138 Million Tonnes which increased to 221 Million Tonnes in 2021-22.

 *Why do dogs hang their tongues out?* 🐶

Dogs have a high body temperature. Generally, mammals regulate their body temperature by sweating. Dogs have fewer sweat glands on their body so it is difficult to cool their body by sweating. Instead of sweating like humans, dogs stick the tongue out. The tongue releases saliva along with heat. Evaporation removes heat from the liquid substance or saliva.

 On the other hand, their skin isn’t exposed directly to the air and thus they cannot sweat like we do. They do sweat through their paw pads.  

Their usual body temperature is higher than human beings, average 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Our body temperature goes that up when we have fever. Thus the regular outside temperature which seems normal to us, i.e. which matches with our body temperature often seems quite hot for the Dogs.

The only way they can cool off is by evaporating saliva from the tongue. That takes the latent heat away from their body. That’s why you would see them panting in the sun more, than while they stay indoors, or when it is winter.
