9. A major fire broke out on a bus run by the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) in Gujarat due short circuit on Monday afternoon, following which over 35 passengers were safely evacuated. 

10. Everyone in India has the right to choose their own religion and their own God, the Supreme Court said. The apex court made the remark while refusing to entertain a petition that sought to declare spiritual leader Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra as 'Paramatma' - the supreme being. The court also imposed a penalty of ₹1,00,000 on the petitioner.

1. Income Tax Department recovered cash and jewellery worth ₹15 crore during raids at Dhanera Diamonds and Bhavna Gems and real-estate firms linked to the two companies.  The raids, which began on December 2, were carried out across 30 locations in Surat and Mumbai. 

2. Four persons were killed and 15 others injured after a Tata ace vehicle in which they were travelling lost control and overturned in Jampani Village of Bapatla district, Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

1. Canara Bank won the ‘Banker’s Bank of the Year Award 2022’’ for India segment at the Global Banking Summit held in London.

2. IDFC Mutual Fund to be Renamed Bandhan Mutual Fund. Securities market regulator SEBI granted the necessary no objection for IDFC AMC’s acquisition by a consortium comprising Bandhan Financial Holdings Limited (BFHL). 

3. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is one of the three Indian companies in the top 100Global arms sales increased even as the world economy contracted in 2020. 

4. The Reserve Bank of India  has put in place a framework to allow overseas subsidiaries and branches of Indian banks and financial institutions to undertake activities not specifically permitted in the Indian domestic market.

1. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli won the Best Director Award for RRR movie at the New York Film Critics Circle 2022. A pre-Independence fictional story, “RRR” stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR as real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, respectively.

2. Actress Deepika Padukone will unveil the 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy during the final, which is set to take place on December 18. Earlier, actress Nora Fatehi had performed at the FIFA Fan Fest in Qatar. Deepika had also represented India at the Cannes Film Festival as one of the jury members earlier this year.

3. Actress Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram Stories on Monday and shared that she has started shooting for 'Chandramukhi 2'. Raghava Lawrence will play the lead role opposite Kangana. The film, directed by P Vasu, also stars Anushka Shetty.

1. President Draupadi Murmu has given the approval for the introduction of a new design for the President's Standard and Colour and also unveiled the Indian Navy's Crest at Visakhapatnam.

The new design of the President's Standard and Colour comprises three main constituents -- the national flag in the upper-left canton adjacent to the staff, the state emblem undescribed with 'Satyamev Jayate' in golden colour on the upper right canton on the fly side and a Navy Blue-Gold Octagon below the golden state emblem.

1.  G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant on Monday interacted with Sherpas of all the Emerging Market Economies (EME) on the sidelines of the 1st Sherpa meeting of the G20 India Presidency.Kant discussed issues of mutual interest, accelerated growth, and advancement of the Global South.

2. As per  US think tank Early Warning Project, India is ranked 8th among the countries that are at the highest risk for mass killing in 2022 and 2023. India has seen a drop in rank from second position in the earlier year.

  **Hanuman Statues are in orange colour bcoz** : 

Since Hanuman is Bal Brahmachari (unmarried / celibate), only men are allowed to worship and touch the idol. Women can worship him but should not touch the idol. Mostly idols are covered with saffron (Kesar). Saffron colour is mostly associated with Brahmacharya(bachelorhood). It was told that once Hanuman asked Sita mata, why she wears a Sindhoor on her forehead. Sita mata replied “wearing a sindhoor on my forehead enhances the life of Sri Ram”!.

Sita’s answer overwhelmed Hanuman, and he thought, if a pinch of Sindhoor(kesari/orange)can increase the life span of Sri. Ram, then why not apply it all over my body so that Sri. Ram can live forever!.

Then he procured a bucket full of Sindhoor(kesari) and smeared his whole body with oil and Sindhoor!.

 On the other side, Hanuman was born on a tuesday (mangalwar), the day of planet Mars or Mangal, the red planet!.
