Ultraviolet radiation is produced by high-temperature surfaces, such as the Sun, in a continuous spectrum and by atomic excitation in a gaseous discharge tube as a discrete spectrum of wavelengths. ... Of the ultraviolet that does reach Earth's surface, almost 99 percent is UVA radiation.

Ultraviolet (UV) light has shorter wavelengths than visible light. Though these waves are invisible to the human eye, some insects, like bumblebees, can see them! ... Our Sun emits light at all the different wavelengths in electromagnetic spectrum, but it is ultraviolet waves that are responsible for causing our sunburns.

Challenge yourself every day

 _Challenge yourself every day---The Japanese fresh fish story._

From linked in.

The Japanese have a great liking for fresh fish.

But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades.

So, to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever.

The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring back the fish.

The longer it took them to bring back the fish, the stale they grew.

The fish were not fresh and the Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed the freezers on their boats.

They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea.

Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer.

However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish.

And they did not like the taste of frozen fish.

The frozen fish brought a lower price.

So, fishing companies installed fish tanks.

They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin.

After a little hashing around, fishes stopped moving.

They were tired and dull, but alive.

Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference.

Because the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste.

The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.

The fishing industry faced an impending crisis!

But today, it has got over that crisis and has emerged as one of the most important trades in that country!

How did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem?

How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan ?

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks.

But now they add a small shark to each tank.

The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively state.

The fish are challenged  and hence are constantly on the move.

And they survive and arrive in a healthy state!

They command a higher price and are most sought-after.

The challenge they face keeps them fresh!

Humans are no different.

L. Ron Hubbard observed in the early 1950's: "Man thrives, oddly enough, only in the presence of a challenging environment."

George Bernard Shaw said: " Satisfaction is death!"

If you are steadily conquering challenges, you are happy. Your challenges keep you energized.

They keep you alive!

 _*_Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go!*__

MORAL: *If you look healthier, younger and energetic, then definitely there is a shark in your tank*.

*😳WHY❓❓❓*

=======================

*Why do we start coughing after eating lot of sweets?*

Sweets or sugars by itself are not causative factors for cough. But they will worsen the cough. Many a times you might have experienced cough after eating sweets. The reason is the sugars in the food will absorb moisture from the tissue. This irritates the throat and we tend to clear it with a short cough and it subsides. Drinking water helps to rehydrate the tissue. Some foods have allergens. These are the main reason for cough and irritation. It's not the sugar as such. The quality of various ingredients of the sweet are another important factors. A good quality sweet with good shellife will not produce ill effects on ur body. The last but most important is the bacteria. Our throat itself has thousands of bacteria which are not harmful to our body. They live as communsals. There are some harmful bacteria but are dormant. With the sugars these harmful bacteria become active but they themselves will not cause cough. If the food is containing bacteria they get coupled and initiate pharyngitis. This will manifest as a throat pain, fever and cough.

 🤔 *HOW IT WORKS* ⁉ =======================

*HOW DOES COUGH SYRUP STOP COUGHING?*

Antitussives are cough suppressants. They relieve your cough by blocking the cough reflex. Expectorants thin mucus. This may help your cough clear the mucus from your airway.

They reduce the activity of the cough reflex and suppresses the urge to cough. They work by suppressing dry, hacking cough that keeps you awake all night. Cough suppressants are also known as 'Antitussives'. A commonly available antitussive in the market is Dextromethorphan.

తప్పక పాటించ వలసిన ఆరోగ్య సూత్రాలు

 *_తప్పక పాటించ వలసిన ఆరోగ్య సూత్రాలు._*

```1.అజీర్ణే భోజనమ్ విషమ్:
మధ్యాహ్న భోజనం జీర్ణం కాకపోతే, రాత్రి భోజనం చేయడం, విషం తీసుకోవడంతో సమానం అని ఈ సూత్రానికి అర్థం. ఆకలి అనేది మునుపటి ఆహారం జీర్ణం కావడానికి ఒక సంకేతం. కాబట్టి ఆకలి లేకుండా మళ్ళీ ఆహారం తీసుకోకూడదు.
2.అర్ధరోగహరి నిద్రా:
సరైన నిద్ర, మీ వ్యాధులలో సగం నయం చేస్తుంది. మనిషికి ఆహారం ఎంత ముఖ్యమో, తగినంత నిద్ర కూడా అంతే ముఖ్యం. ఆరోగ్యవంతుడు రోజుకి కనీసం ఆరు గంటలు నిద్రపోవాలి. తిన్న ఆహారం జీర్ణం కావడానికి, శారీరక శ్రమ వల్ల కాళ్ళు, చేతులు, గుండె, మెదడు మొదలైన ముఖ్య అంగాలు అలసట తీరి సక్రమంగా పనిచేయడానికి నిద్ర ఉపకరిస్తుంది. అటువంటి వారికి రోగాలు దరిచేరవు. కనుక మంచి నిద్ర సగం రోగాలను హరించి వేస్తుంది అని ఈ సూక్తికి అర్థం.
3.ముద్గధాలి గధవ్యాలి:
అన్ని రకాల పప్పుధాన్యాలలో, పచ్చపెసలు
 (Greengrams) ఉత్తమమైనవి. ఇవి రోగనిరోధక శక్తిని పెంచుతాయి. ఇతర పప్పుధాన్యాలు అన్నీ,
 ఒకటి లేదా మరొకటి దుష్ప్రభావాలను కలిగి ఉంటాయి.
4.బాగ్నస్తి సంధనకరో రాసోనాహ:
వెల్లుల్లి విరిగిన ఎముకలతో కలుస్తుంది. వెల్లుల్లి తరచుగా తినేవారిలో ఎముకలు, వాటి జాయింట్లు గట్టిగా ఉంటాయి.
5.అతి సర్వత్రా వర్జయేత్:
అధికంగా తినేది ఏదైనా, అది మంచి రుచిని కలిగి ఉన్నా, ఆరోగ్యానికి మంచిది కాదు. మితంగా (తక్కువ) తినండి.
6.నాస్తిమూలం అనౌషధం:
శరీరానికి ఎటువంటి ఔషధ ప్రయోజనం లేని కూరగాయలు అంటూ లేవు.
7.న వైద్యా ప్రభుయుయుషా:
ఏ డాక్టర్ కూడా మన దీర్ఘాయువుకు ప్రభువు కాదు. వైద్యులకు కొన్ని పరిమితులు ఉన్నాయి.
8.చింతా వ్యాధి ప్రకాషయ:
చింత అనారోగ్యాన్ని తీవ్రతరం చేస్తుంది.
9.వ్యాయామశ్చ శనై: శనై:
ఏదైనా వ్యాయామం నెమ్మదిగా చేయండి. వేగవంతమైన వ్యాయామం మంచిది కాదు. నడక కూడా ఇందులోకి వస్తుంది.
10.అజవత్ చర్వనం కుర్యాత్:
మీరు తినే ఆహారాన్ని మేక లాగా నమలండి. ఎప్పుడూ ఆత్రుత తో ఆహారాన్ని మింగకూడదు. జీర్ణక్రియలో లాలాజలమే మొదట సహాయపడుతుంది.
11.స్నానమ్ నామ మనః ప్రసాధనకరం దుస్వప్న విధ్వంసకం:
స్నానం డిప్రెషన్ ను తొలగిస్తుంది. ఇది చెడ్డ కలలనును దూరం చేస్తుంది.
12.న స్నానం ఆచరేత్ భుక్త్వా:
ఆహారం తీసుకున్న వెంటనే స్నానం చేయకండి. జీర్ణక్రియ ప్రతికూలంగా ప్రభావితమవుతుంది.
13.నాస్తి మేఘ సమం తోయం.
స్వచ్ఛతలో వర్షపునీటికి, ఏ నీరు సాటి రాదు. పల్లెటూళ్ళలో ఇప్పటికీ వర్షపు నీటిని పట్టి వడకట్టి త్రాగుతారు. కాని నేరుగా పడిన వర్షపు నీటినే పట్టాలి. ఇంటి చూరుల మీదనుంచి కారిన నీరుకాదు.
14.అజీర్నే భేషజం వారీ:
మంచినీరు ఎక్కువగా తీసుకోవడం ద్వారా అజీర్ణాన్ని పరిష్కరించవచ్చు.
15.సర్వత్ర నూతనం శాస్త్రం సేవకన్న పురాతనం.
తాజా విషయాలను ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఇష్టపడండి. ఓల్డ్ రైస్ మరియు ఓల్డ్ సర్వెంట్‌ను కొత్తగా మార్చాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. (ఇక్కడ సేవకుడి విషయంలో అసలు అర్థం ఏమిటంటే: అతని విధులను మార్చండికానీ, తొలగించవద్దు.)
16.నిత్యామ్ సర్వ రసభ్యాసహా:
ఉప్పు, తీపి, చేదు, పులుపు, (Astringent మరియు pungent) అన్ని రుచులు కలిగి ఉన్న పూర్తి ఆహారాన్ని తీసుకోండి.
17.జఠరమ్ పూరైధార్ధమ్ అన్నాహి:
మీ కడుపు అరవంతు ఘనపదార్థాలతో, పావువంతు నీటితో నింపండి మరియు మిగిలినది ఖాళీగా ఉంచండి.
18.భుక్త్వోపా విసస్థాంద్:
ఆహారాన్ని తీసుకున్న తర్వాత ఎప్పుడూ పనిలేకుండా కూర్చోవద్దు. కనీసం 100 అడుగులు అయినా నడవండి.
19.క్షుత్ సాధూతం జనయతి:
ఆకలి, ఆహార రుచిని పెంచుతుంది. (ఇంకా చెప్పాలంటే, ఆకలితో ఉన్నప్పుడు మాత్రమే తినండి.)
20.చింతా జరానామ్ మనుష్యానమ్:
చింతించడం అనేది వృద్ధాప్యాన్ని వేగవంతం చేస్తుంది. కనుక అనవసరపు చింతలతో ఆరోగ్యాన్ని పాడుచేసుకోకండి.
21.సతం విహాయ భోక్తవ్యం:
ఆహారం తీసుకొనే సమయం వచ్చినప్పుడు, ఎంతటి పనినైనా కూడా పక్కన పెట్టండి. నిదానంగా భోజనం చేయండి. వేగంగా తినడం, పని ఉందని అసలు భోజనమే మానివేయడం చాలా అనర్థదాయకం.
2.సర్వ ధర్మేశు మధ్యమామ్:
ఎల్లప్పుడూ మధ్యే మార్గాన్ని ఎంచుకోండి. దేనిలోనైనా విపరీతంగా వెళ్లడం మానుకోండి. ఈ ఆరోగ్య సూత్రాలు పాటించిన వారికి చిరాయువు, నిత్య ఆరోగ్యం
తప్పక లభిస్తుంది.```
=======================
 *Why we should not drink water after eating fruits**
This is because fruits that have high water content can upset the pH levels by making your stomach less acidic. Avoid or refrain from having water after eating fruits because it hinders the absorption and digestion process in the stomach leading to acidity.
 🤔 *HOW IT WORKS* ⁉ =======================
 *HOW A LIME STONE IS FORMED.*
Limestone, sedimentary rock composed mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), usually in the form of calcite or aragonite. It may contain considerable amounts of magnesium carbonate (dolomite) as well; minor constituents also commonly present include clay, iron carbonate, feldspar, pyrite, and quartz.
 It is formed by layers of small pieces of rock and stones pressed hard together. The stone forms in wet areas which mean it will also contain of shells and waste matter from organisms that live in water.
Burnt lime can be treated with water to provide hydrated lime which is calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2] or a mixture of calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide [Mg(OH)2]. This product is called hydrated lime, slaked lime or builders lime. Both burnt and hydrated lime are used in aquaculture.
